The feat, according to the Force, was achieved in a special clearance operation coordinated with hybrid forces in a terrorist pocket in Jongo Village inside the forest.
It said the troops targeted the enclave, engaged in fierce gunfights with the terrorists, and killed several people while others fled in chaos.
The military said its troops carried out further exploits in front of the enclave and seized several weapons.
The firearms seized included 99 rounds of 7.62 x 54 mm caliber bullets on metal hooks, 19 rounds of 7.62 x 39 mm caliber bullets, three AK-47 rifle magazines, two 36-round hand grenades, and two locally made rifles.
