Nigerian oil production dropped to 1.65MBPD in May – NUPRC

The Nigerian Hulu Oil Regulatory Authority (NUPRC) said that on Friday the country’s oil production fell to 1,657,435 million barrels of oil per day (MBPD) in May.

That figure dropped from 1,683,307 MBPD recorded in April.

According to the latest NUPRC crude and condensate production data, crude oil contributed 1,452,941 in May down from 1,485,700 BPD in April.

NUPRC also noted that the average production of crude oil production for May representing 97 percent of the 1.5 million BPD quota set for Nigeria by the State of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

“The lowest and the lowest and the peak condensate oil production in May is 1.61 million BOPD and 1,810 million BOPD,” the commission said.

“The average daily production in May was 1,657,435 barrels per day, consisting of both crude oil (1,452,941 BOPD) and condensate (204,493 BOPD).”
