NIS announces a new passport prize to increase questions
… while 32 pages applies to #100, 000 and 64 pages- #200, 000
Abuja (Reporter Core) Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a revision when the Nigerian standard passport taxes to increase its questions. This had to support the quality and integrity of the Nigerian passport.
This was contained in a declaration issued by the public service relationship official, ACI as Akinlabi on Thursday 28 August 2025.
The declaration states in some parts: “In an attempt to support the quality and integrity of the Nigerian passport, the immigration service of Nigeria announces a revision to the rise in Nigerian standard passport taxes, scheduled for September 1, 2025.
“The review, which only affects the passport demand commissions made in Nigeria, has now set a new commissions threshold for 32 pages with a validity of 5 years at N100,000 and 64 pages with a validity at 10 years to N200,000.
“In the meantime, the Nigerian passport demand fees made by the Nigerians in Diaspora remain unchanged at $ 150 for 32 pages with a validity at 5 years and $ 230 per 64 pages with a validity at 10 years.
“The service reiterates its commitment to balance the provision of the quality service with the need to ensure that passport services are accessible to all Nigerians.
