NNPP issued Jibrin for alleged anti-party activities

The new Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano’s state has expelled a member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, for alleged anti-party activities.

The Chairman of NNPP in the state, NNPP, Hashim Sulaiman-Dungurawa, announced this when giving direction to journalists on Saturday in Kano.

He said the decision followed Jibrin’s repeated media explosion of his party and leadership.

The chairman described the member of the parliament as a “weak politician” whose selection success was only possible through the Karkwasiyya movement and the NNPP platform, not personal power.

Jibrin represented the Federal Kiru/Bebeji Kano State Constituent in the National Assembly.

Sulaiman-Dungurawa said: “If he is truly politically strong, he will win his election on the APC platform, but he fails.

“When he joined NNPP through Karkwasiyya, he became a member of the House of Reps. Now he deceived himself, thinking he was strong.”

He noted that the reconciliation committee was originally formed to involve Jibrin after interviews at Channels Television, but said the next media’s sighta proved that he had “crossed the limit.”

“Instead of dialogue, he goes further to work against our interests, openly stating loyalty outside the party. That is why we drive him out. He has no value to add,” he added.

Sulaiman-Dungurawa also accused Jibrin of failing to pay for payment of compulsory parties and swear that NNPP would institutionalize legal action to restore funds.

“We will drag him to court to restore what he owes to the party. It is a constitutional requirement for each member to pay dues, but he consistently failed to do it,” said the chairman.
