Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the State of Anambra said Tuesday not to have apologized for supporting the praisable policies and programs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The questions on the field of the correspondents of the State House after a meeting with the president of Abuja, Soludo said that his support in Tinubu was rooted in shared progressive ideals and personal friendship that has lasted for two decades.
“I don’t apologize. The president Tinubu is my friend. He was my friend 22 years and counting. Don’t deny your friend and start to quiver who he is.
“I support him and I am struck by the daring steps he took, in particular in the areas of the economy, the structural reforms. I said so severely: we are taking the right steps, we must only follow the path,” he said.
He said that political parties that profess progressiveness should work together in a large coalition to strengthen the democracy of Nigeria and guide economic and social development.
He said the message “progressive he works together” was his position consistent from the visit of Tinubu in the state of Anambra when the billboards and the materials of the countryside that promote cooperation were displayed throughout the state.
Soludo also spoke of the security situation in the state of Anambra, underlining that his administration was implementing a holistic strategy that combined kinetic force with non -Kinatic interventions.
He said that the issuance of the National Security Law of the State of Anambra in January was a turning point in dismantling the basics of crime.
“All mortal native doctors are on the run from the state because these are the boys who give false hopes, deceive our young people and attracting them in crime,” he said.
He said that the creation of jobs, the empowerment of young people and targeted social programs were fundamental for the non -Kinetic approach.
He said the state government has authorized 5,000 young people in the last year, while 8,700 receive financial support this month.
“We are immediately creating several thousand youth youth in the first three years. This is cascaded throughout the state.
“Young people are very involved and we also have to do with the question of difficulties, beyond the massive infrastructure transformation, as well as fixing our schools and our health structures,” he said.
He assured that while young people were offered opportunities, law enforcement officers would definitely deal with those who break the law.
