Ogun imams be careful that pilgrims mean on the discipline, devotion as Hajj 2025 begins

The League of Imams and Alfas (Raabittah), Ogun State, has accused the state of Hajj 2025 of the State to support the highest standards of discipline, devotion and integrity while embarking on the sacred pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

In a declaration signed by his secretary general, Alhaji Tajudeen Mustapha adwunmi, the general president of the League, Shaykh Sikirullahi Baffalola, has extended happy to all intense pilgrims, describing the Ahajj as a divine journey that requires spiritual consciousness and moral rectification.

“While the contingent of the state of Ogun starts in lots for the pilgrimage of Hajj of 2025, we remind them that this is not just a journey: it is a spiritual rebirth,” said Shaykh Baffalola.

“The pilgrims must submit to Allah’s will, embody the Islamic values ​​and to honor the state of Ogun and Nigeria with honor.”

The religious leader stressed that Hajj is much more than a ritual obligation, citing the prophet Muhammad (Saw) saying that a pilgrim who avoids sin, quarrels and immoral conduct returns from Hajj without sin as a newborn baby.

He invited pilgrims to show patience between the physical needs of the pilgrimage, advising them to avoid topics, obscenities and distractions such as inactivity photography.

“Every word and action are explained. Let your time be full of memory of Allah, Du’a and the reflection,” he urged.

Shaykh Baffalola also underlined the importance of rigorously adhere to the rules of the Saudi authorities, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (Nahcon) and the Ogun State Muslim Pellegrine Welfare Board.

“Disobedience can stop your Hajj and that of others. Help each other and respect other pilgrims of all nations,” he said.

He recalled the pilgrims who are ambassadors of their faith, country and state. “Let the story told by the state pilgrims of Ogun be of discipline, decency and devotion. Do not engage in any act that can be shared to our people.”

The League also urged the pilgrims to pray for the progress of Nigeria, the prosperity of the state of Ogun and peace through the land during the rites in the Holy Land.

While addressed to the Welfare Council of Muslim pilgrims of the State of Ogun, the League invited its members to consider their duties as a sacred trust and not a bureaucratic formality.

“You are the custodian of Allah’s guests. Treat them with equity, compassion and dignity. Avoid favoritism and personal interests,” added the declaration.

The League expressed gratitude to the state government of Ogun, led by the governor Dapo Inhabitun, by the wellness committee of the pilgrims, in the Nahcon and all the facilitators of Hajj for their efforts to guarantee a Hajj operation without interruption for the pilgrims of the state.

“May all those who have contributed to this noble cause and return our pilgrims safely, renewed in the faith and engaged on the path of justice,” concluded the declaration.
