“One last remaining game” – Osimhen does not rise after the final victory of the Cup

Victor Osimhen says that Galatasaray must now change his approach to sealing the title of the League after lifting the Turkish Cup on Wednesday night.

The gala walked to a 3-0 dominant victory over Trabzonspor in the final, with Osimhen on a network and Baris Yilmaz also finding the background of the network.

The victory marked the Turkish Cup 19 Galatasaray title and keeps their hopes of completing a national dual.

Okan Buruk’s men need only one point against Kayserispor on Sunday to ensure their third consecutive Super Lig and ensure its 25th in general.

In statements to the official website of the club after the match, Osimhen praised his teammates and fans for their collective effort and energy throughout the competition.

“I want to offer great congratulations to the whole team. We are very happy at this time. We feel incredible emotions. We fight very well from beginning to end tonight,” he said.

“We will fight for the fifth star on Sunday. We can say that it is ninety percent, but we have to say that one last game is left.”

The Osimhen’s clamp also saw him overcome the 34 goals of Mario Jardel in a single season, set during the 2000/01 campaign.

The Nigerian striker is now the largest foreign player in a single season for the club.

“I think the record is, of course, a big thing, but I would like to thank my teammates very much. Especially today, Yunus was very unifying.”

According to Opta, Osimhen is also the first foreign player to score an orthopedic device in a Turkish Cup final for Galatasaray.

Osimhen also hinted that a great decision is coming once the season ends: “Finally, I have to make a great decision. Everyone in the club, fans, my family, have really been supportive during this process.”
