The State Command of the Jigawa from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), has confirmed the death of one person while five others suffered severe burns in a terrible accident involving motorbikes along the government road of the Hausa – Auno Kafin, Sabon Gari Ruba in the regional government of the Nausa Kafin Kafin in the state.
Commander of the Commander of the Command, ASC Badaruddeen Tijjani, who confirmed the tragic incident in a statement on Saturday, said the accident occurred on Friday when a motorcycle carrying six young people returning from agriculture was involved in serious and burning accidents.
“The Nigerian Civil and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), the State Command of the Jigawa, is very sorry to report the tragic accident that occurred on Friday, July 1, 2025, around 1420 hours along the local government road of the Hausa – Auno Kafin, Dabon Gari Ruba in the Hausa cafe.
“A motorcycle carrying six young people returning from agriculture was involved in a serious accident. The motorcycle was reported to have caught fire immediately after the accident, which resulted in severe burning into five riders.

“The victims were identified as:
1. Iliya Ashura Makera, 15 Years
2. Boyan Musa, 22 years old
3. Mubarak Ibrahim Tahir, 14 years old
4. Abdullmumuni Garba, 12 years old
5. Abdulsalam Garba, 14 years old
“The sixth driver fled without injury. Our operation at the Hausa Kafin Division Office, led by CSC Nehemia John Gata, immediately responded, saved the victims and delivered them to the General Hospital, Cafin Hausa, for medical attention.
“Unfortunately, because of the severity of the injury, Abdullmumuni Garba was referred to the Aminu Kano Hospital for special treatment but sadly died on the way to the facility.
“The Bala State Commander brought Bodinga and all officers and people from the Nigerian Civil Defense and Civil Defense Corps gave a sincere condolence to the families of the victims and reiterated the importance of safe driving practices, especially among young people.
“We urge parents, community leaders, and all stakeholders to continue to make young people aware of the safety of the road and the dangers of the burden of motorcycles,” the statement concluded.
