Easter: David Mark urges unity assures Nigerians of ADC strength

● Says the Party remains focused and adamant

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has called on Nigerians to embrace religious harmony, peace and national unity as Christians across the country mark the celebration of Easter.

In a goodwill message released Sunday, Mark described Easter as a season that embodies sacrifice, hope, renewal and the triumph of light over darkness.

He urged citizens to reflect on the virtues of love, selflessness and forgiveness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

The former Senate President stressed the need for Nigerians, regardless of religious, ethnic or political affiliations, to promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

He noted that the country’s diversity should serve as a source of strength rather than division.

Mark also appealed to citizens to remain calm and respect the law, underlining the importance of supporting peace and stability at the national level.

Reassuring Nigerians of the state of his party, the ADC Chairman said the party remained strong, united and unshakable despite recent challenges.

According to him, “the temporary failures have only strengthened the party’s determination and commitment to democratic ideals and the implementation of good governance.

“The ADC remains focused and adamant in its mission to enthrone the democratic ethos, uphold the rule of law and provide purposeful leadership that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.”

Mark expressed confidence in the future of the party, stating his commitment to leading the ADC to victory in the 2027 general elections.

He also expressed optimism that the celebration of Easter could inspire renewed faith and hope for a better Nigeria.

The national president of the ADC wished all Christians a peaceful and joyful celebration of Easter.
