Osimhen Score but Zimbabwe condemned Nigeria to the fourth draw in W’CUPQ

Victor Osimhen was right on target but the goal was not enough to provide Super Eagles from Nigeria Victory over Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

The game was contested to watch the striker Galatasaray Elate in the crowd at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo with the opening of the 74th minute.

But the home team fell to a 1-1 draw after failing to maintain their advantage, because the away team pulled the level through Tawanda Chirstr’s goal at full time.

Eric Chelle’s children struggled hard to save the situation in five additional minutes, but Zimbabwe residents held at one point.

After six matches played in the qualifying series, Nigeria sat fourth in table six teams. The group winner will get an automatic qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

With the remaining four matches, Eagles is six points behind South African leaders and one point behind Rwanda and the Republic of Benin.
