Oyebanji seeks better collaboration with the Basin Authority

The governor of the state of Ekiti, Biodun Oyebanji, expressed dissatisfaction with the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (Borbda) for its management of development initiatives in the State, stating that the state has not benefited from the authority despite the numerous attempts to collaborate with it on some projects.

Governor Oyebanji, who declared this during a meeting with the new management of the Benin-Owna River Basin Development Authority led by the CEO/ CEO, Dr. Olufemi Adekanmbi in his Ado Ekiti office, said that the agency was not a fair for the state in its development impulse.

By expressing his displeasure for what he described as lack of a significant contribution from the Authority to the development of Ekiti, the governor said that this had forced his administration to exclude the agency from his strategic development plan, underlining the need for a more effective and responsible approach that advanced.

Governor Oyebanji, who declared the importance of synergy between government agencies and stakeholders in guiding sustainable development, urged the new leadership to ensure that their renewed commitment translates into significant actions and development in the state.

He also assured them that his administration would collaborate with the authority on condition that there is a change visible in their operations and commitment.
