Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsamiro is close to completing a permanent transfer to Italian club Pisa following his impressive loan move from Inter Milan.

The 21-year-old spent the 2025/26 campaign with Pisa, making 24 league appearances and registering one assist despite the club’s relegation from Serie A after just one season in the top flight. His performances in midfield reportedly convinced the Tuscan side to seek a permanent transfer.

Pisa now awaits Inter Milan’s final decision on the future of the former Remo Stars player, who remains highly valued after his development in Italy over the last two seasons. Before joining Pisa, Akinsamiro was also on loan at Sampdoria during the 2024/25 season.

Akinsamiro joined Inter Milan from NPFL side Remo Stars in January 2023 on a four-year contract after emerging from the Beyond Limits Academy. He was also part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, although he did not participate during the tournament.
