Police arrested famous weapons runners in Kaduna

The police operation in Kaduna has arrested two famous weapons runners in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday in Kaduna.

He said the operators recovered weapons and four motorbikes in the operation conducted on August 5.

Hassan said: “On August 5, at around 2:00 pm, following a credible intelligence report about the alleged weapons runner, commando operators from the Ikara Division invaded the Kurmin Kogi Village area and succeeded in arresting two suspects, namely Isah Bello and Sa’idu Haruna, both residents of Damdami Village, Richifa, Richifa, Richifa.

“The suspects led the detectives to their hiding place, which is located in a dense area where four local -made weapons were found.

“During the operation, one of the suspects, Isah Bello, tried to avoid arrest and, in the process, attacking a police inspector, causing injury to the face of the officer.

“The injured officer is currently receiving medical attention and responding to treatment.”
