The first witness of the accusation, PW1, Hamma Adama Bello in the trial process of the former head of the service, HOS, Winifred Oyo-Ita on Monday 30 June 2025 presented in front of Judge James Omotosho of the Federal Court, Maitama, Abuja, a video test of the defendant who wrote his non-peripheral confessional declarations.
The witness presented the video recording of the confessional declarations while he was led by the judicial consultant Faruk Abdullahi to demonstrate that Oya-Ita has never been threatened, harassed or put under coercion while he was in the office of EFCC against his affirmation of having written his statements under the duration of the commission office.
Oyo-Ita, The First DefenDant is facing criminal prosecution by the EFCC Alongside Her Special Assistants, Ugbong Okon Effiok, Seventh Defendant, Garba Umar, Fourth Defenseant and Six Companies: Frontline Ace Global Services Limited, Asanaya Projects Limited, Slopes International Limited, U and U and U and U and U and U and U and U and U Global Services Ltd, Prince Mega Logistics Ltd and Good Deal Investments on 18-Count Charges, Bordering on Misappropooperation of Fondi, official corruption, money laundering and criminal diversion of funds for over n3 billion.
Judge Omotosho updated the matter until 14 and 16 October 2025 for the continuation of the trial.
