Nigerian-political public figures, clerics, traditional sovereigns, paletal leaders and vast people of autonomous importance, as usual, have shown a insincere and perfidious attitude during the recent Easter celebration throughout the country.
One after the other, these people sent “goodwill” messages to the Nigerians, who, in all respects, were simple lip services that freedly hanging on cunning and self -centered research. Reading all the messages, from the lowest to the highest ones, these people have derided in a hidden millions of Nigerians decimated by insecurity, grappling with the survival under the overwhelming weight of the economic boulder of the APC.
Easter messages reveal a leadership procession cateries with the base, the self-graying inclinations, which strengthen the hands of the people’s taskmaster. With the exception of the shepherd Tunde Bakare, who said the truth to power, and perhaps Peter Obi, no leaders of any shade has deemed it necessary to identify the deterioration of Nigeria on all fronts and call the managers of these conditions.
The Easter messages of the public characters of Nigeria were a caricature of the conditions in the country, a mockery of the Nigerian circumstances, which worsen daily without hope in sight.
Christians around the world and millions of people who adhere to other faiths recognize the meaning of the Easter celebration.
But is the truth that how many Nigerians have celebrated Easter in the true sense of the occasion? From the bloodbath in the state of the plateau, killing the fields in the state of Borno, massacre without brain in the state of Benue, IDP fields devastated by hunger and vases of empty cooking in millions of houses across the country, the Easter celebration was an opportunity for mourning for many people.
These are not existential issues but conditions caused by incompetent leadership, addressed and compromising in all the country’s corridors of the country. Unfortunately, several public figures have chosen the Easter celebration to ridicule the Nigerians by supporting the current term of the government or encourage people to continue to endure the difficulties just as they endured it during the years of the Bohari locust.
None of these public characters dared to identify the anguish of the people and advise the government accordingly. No, they were all afraid to upset Applecart. Therefore, they played safely and, from the opulence of their homes, they vomited hatred masked by empathy.
It is truly a shame for a country that while the country explodes and bleeds on seams, the public characters of different complexions connect to the situation to simply seek relevance. I will focus on two different public characters: politicians and clerics.
The last thing in the mind of the typical Nigerian politicians are the people, those on whom they depend to acquire power. The typical Nigerian politicians love to use the electorate as a cannon forage. These politicians are a study of auto-reception and pleasant motifs.
Before any election, the lips lips, crawl, implore, plead and humbly act to acquire power. After acquiring power, they erect a wall between them and ordinary people, riding their wagons on the decadent while showing unparalleled complacency and vanglorious carriage to the whining of the electorate.
During the recent Easter celebration, the politicians made the line to give various messages of “good will” divided from the simplest sentences without any honest commitment to face the challenges faced by the people. The members of the Chamber of Assemblies of the State, members of the Chamber of Federal Representatives, senators, ministers, governors, president, suspended governor and other categories of politicians have shown a deplorable lack of awareness on the socio-economic vortex and insecurity that swallows the country.
They all wanted to be part of people’s translators. Where they were not encouraging the Nigerians to support the APC and Bola Tinubu implement their dream of annihilating Nigeria, they were simply to have people to embrace suffering because it is their birth right.
While the well -intentioned Nigerians were committed to sympathizing with SIM Fubara, the non -democratic governor suspended of the State of the rivers, the politician with Giglio crack was committed to encouraging the people of the State of the rivers to support Bola Tinubu, the man who orchestrated his political misfortune.
In Easter’s message from Sim Fubara, the president, the architect of his current political misfortune, spranging. There are also unconfirmed relationships according to which the suspended governor is taking into consideration the defect of the APC to facilitate his restoration. In fact, if the people of Rivers were truly voted for Fubara, if he had not affected with a certain tragic character like Mr. To orchestrate the latest elections, Wike would have identified themselves with the people of the state of sparrows and their agony during the Easter celebration.
But knowing very well that the process that led him to power was far from genuine, he returned happily to his source of power, which clearly works for crossed purposes with people’s desires. Surely, Fubara knows how he climbed power and used the Easter celebration to return to his source of power by neglecting the sufferings of his people.
It is indefensible from any stretch of the imagination that no great religious leader in the country spoke against the killings of Christians in the state of the plateau and the unstoppable slaughter of innocent souls in the state of Borno and in the state of Benue. It will take some will of willpower to hold me from mentioning the names of religious leaders who spoke against the government of Goodluck Jonathan but have been affected by stupid paralysis in the face of the insecurity and the smoking economic conditions in the country.
With the exception of the pastor Tunde Bakare, who suddenly found his lost voice to condemn the unfortunate economic and socio-political tide in the country, turning directly to Bola Tinubu to stop interpreting God, no other religious leader found it necessary to speak against the unarming attack on the Nigerians.
While many faithful have failed in different agonizing forms of poverty and deprivation, our religious leaders have invoked the biblical injunction that encourages a Christian to transform the other cheek to receive more slaps and attacked by an attacker. From one pulpit to another, these religious leaders encouraged worshipers devastated by poverty to continue to bear the difficulties while believed in the power of God to save them.
Easter messages in all churches and several pulpits have not isolated those responsible for the ardue and ardue conditions in the country. Therefore, people are induced to concentrate on imaginary devils, which at best the abstract forms of impulses in war and in conflict of humanity are at best.
Religious leaders have not been able to educate people that politicians who make decisions that delivered them to the Penury clan are the real devils, so they must refuse them in the next surveys. These religious leaders, although they strengthened compromise and docility, were simply banqueting on the timid and wary consciences of their worshipers.
They have not been able to tell their worshipers that the family man who honestly earns 150,000 a month and cannot buy a lot of rice or have a discreet Easter celebration with his family is not the victim of any evil attack, but a victim of the government’s economic policies that have devalued the local currency and on an inflation throne.
Religious leaders in their Easter messages have not been able to say to their deluding worshipers that the man who paid 500,000 in an apartment with three bedrooms two years ago and cannot pay 3 million Naira in the same apartment is now not the victim of evil invasion but victim of inflation and devaluation in local currency.
The Nigerian politicians and the people of the clergy have not been able to use the opportunity of the Easter celebration to educate people and exhibit the incompetence that jumps our leadership corridors. This exposure would help people make aware and make better decisions both in their private life and publishes, especially in 2027.
Attach my emotions that those who pretend to represent people summarily close an eye while the same people are bludis and steam in their country. Unfortunately, many Nigerians have resigned to fate in total negligence of the warning of Ola Rotimi that “resigning for fate must be quickly paralyzed”.
It is shameful that the Nigerians who should bind themselves as one and fight a common enemy are divided into the lines of ethnicity. It is more disconcerting that some Nigerians, despite themselves, would apologize for a system that has almost collapsed the life of over 200 million people. All the insincels and bootlicking messages of politicians and clerics should be affected by different media platforms because they are insults to the suffering population. Thanks, his excellence Peter Obi. Thanks, Pastore Tunde Bakare. In fact, “we will know the truth and the truth will free us”.
