Resident doctors suspend the warning strike – Thage

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (Nard) has suspended its five -day warning strike.

The suspension was announced on Saturday evening, with the association that directs the members to resume work on Sunday 14 September.

On Friday Nard had declared the strike to press for an improvement in well -being and working conditions.

Confirming the suspension, the president of Nard, dr. Tope Osundara, said that some doctors requests were satisfied while the government had ensured that other issues would be addressed.

“Some of our requests have been satisfied and the government has promised to examine other issues. The suspended strike; resumption to work tomorrow (today). We did it as a sign of good will and to help the Nigerians looking for health care in our various structures,” said Osundara.
