Roosevelt Ogbonna resigned from the Access Holdings Council

Mr. Roosevelt Ogbonna has resigned as a non-executive director at the PLC Access Holdings Council after three and a half years of service.

The lender announced this in a company notification submitted at the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Wednesday and was signed by the Corporate Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi.

In the statement, Access Holdings explained that although Ogbonna retired from his guidance, he would continue to serve as the Director of Implementing/Head of the Executive of the ACCESS Bank PLC, a subsidiary of the banking group.

His resignation aims to ensure compliance with the Corporate Governance Guidelines for the Nigerian Central Bank for the Finance Parent Company (2023), which stipulates that no more than nine directors can sit in the Council of the Main Company Finance.

The council would like to thank the contribution, noted: “The council respects Mr. Ogbonna for his extraordinary and sustainable contribution to the access group.”

Statement entitled Notification of Resignation of Non-Executive Directors from the Reading Council:

“Access Holdings PLC (‘The Company’) today announced the resignation of one of its non-executive directors, Mr. Roosevelt Ogbonna, from the council after three and a half years of special services.

“Mr. Ogbonna continues to serve as the Director of Implementing/Head of Executive Access Bank PLC, a subsidiary of the company.

“His resignation allows the company to comply with Nigeria’s central bank governance guidelines for the financial parent company in Nigeria, 2023, which sets the maximum nine (9) Director for the Financial Holding Company Council.

“The council respects Mr. Ogbonna for his extraordinary and sustainable contribution for the access group.”
