At least 10 people were confirmed dead while dozens more were kidnapped when gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked a village in Gwadabawa Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Sunday morning as Muslims prepared to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
Eyewitnesses said gunmen stormed Tudun Doki village around 1:30 a.m. on Sallah day and started shooting sporadically in various directions, forcing villagers to flee into nearby forests to avoid being cut down.
