
Former Spain defender Sergio Ramos will become the new owner of Sevilla after completing a deal to take over the club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday that the deal has been completed, with Ramos and his brother, Rene Ramos, leading the acquisition process.
According to Romano, only the official documentation and legal formalities remain before a public announcement is made.
Romano wrote on X: “Sergio Ramos completes the process to buy Sevilla and become the new owner of the club.
“The agreement is in place and his brother René is also leading the process.
“Waiting for official and formal steps with the lawyers before the declaration.”

This development marks a significant return for Ramos, who has strong links to Sevilla as a former academy graduate and captain of the club before rising to global fame.
Ramos began his professional career at Sevilla before moving to Real Madrid, where he won numerous domestic and European titles and established himself as one of football’s most decorated defenders.

The 40-year-old recently concluded his second spell at Sevilla and has now moved closer to taking on an executive role at the club he once represented on the pitch.
Neither Ramos nor Sevilla have officially confirmed the takeover rumours.
