Former Senator Shehu Sani has officially announced his offer to return to the Senate in the next elections of 2027, specifically aiming at the central senatorial district of Kaduna.
This statement was made during his Eid-El-Fitr address in his Kaduna residence on Sunday.
Sani, who previously served in the Senate from 2015 to 2019, outlined his political aspirations in the midst of a background of strategic considerations.
“Any politician who disputes an election depends on the political equation that determines the position to compete. If the conditions are right and the equations are favorable, I will offer me to contest specifically for the central senatorial district of Kaduna,” he said.
Highlighting his commitment for the offer of re -election of the Governor Uba Sani, Sani stressed: “For now, our priority is to see that the governor in office, Uba Sani, is re -elected.
We will work with all our strength and strength to achieve this. We know that there will be challenges and opposition, but we are well prepared for all strength. “
During his speech, Sani urged Muslim companions to use the Eid-El-Fitr period to pray for national harmony and stability.
He condemned the recent killing of hunters in the state of Edo, exhorting the security forces to quickly arrest and pursue the authors.
“If citizens cannot move freely throughout the country, then we are not really a nation. If individuals take the law in their hands for any reason, it means that there is no government or authority,” he said.
In addition, Sani invited all the Nigerians dedicated to national progress to join and work towards peace, underlining the importance of supporting fundamental human rights, in particular the right to life, as crucial for national stability and progress.
