Terror Falls in Abuja: Notorious Armated Roading Kingpin ‘Babanle’ killed while the Smash Deadly Syndicate police

ABUJA, Nigeria – In a daring and decisive raid, the agents of the police command of the territory of the Federal capital (FCT) have demolished one of the most feared armed robbery lords of Abuja – Abdulminu Bello, famous known as Babanle.

The notorious leader of the gang, which is believed to be innumerable cases of armed robbery and theft of vehicles in the capital and in the surrounding areas, met its end in a burning duel with the Scorpio d’Elite team on May 15, 2025, while the police sold a planned attack in the Maitama area.

Confirming the dramatic demolition, the Police spokesman for the FCT SP Josephine Adeh revealed that the gang had been under intense surveillance for months.

“After receiving the credible intelligence that the union was planning to rob a victim unaware of Maitama, the agents mobilized them quickly and intercepted. After sighting the officers, the gang opened fire. In the exchange, Abdulminu Bello Aka Babanle was neutralized,” said Adeh.

Other members of the criminal company arrested on the scene include:

Ibrahim Muhammad (22, ex detained by Kebbi’s state)

Abubakar Abdullahi (22, from the state of the plateau)

Sarajo Yusuf (20, from the state of the plateau)

Isiaka Adamu (former competition, from the state of Bauchi)

Abdullahi Isah (18 years old, who fled the prisoner, state of bauchi)

Sanusi Ali (51, resident of the state of Kano)

Abubakar Sani (from the state of the plateau)

War weapons recovered

The police seized an arsenal chilling from the gang, including:

A Toyota Camry Le 2004

A red boxer motorcycle

Two pistols made locally with 10 9mm live ammunition shots

Four AK-47 rifles with magazines

11 round of live ammunition 7.62

A local rifle

Despite the successful bust, two suspicions remain in general, including another leader of the gang, Solomon Bawa, aka Pastor Mogu, who fled the scene with gun wounds.

Call for public vigilance

The FCT command is making use of the members of the public to report anyone who has suspicious injuries, since the suspicions on the run could seek a treatment in mind.

All suspicions arrested are currently in custody and will be accused in court in the event of the conclusion of the investigations.
