The court postponed the Coordinating Court of the Workers’ Forum until October 21

Judge Nkeonye Maha from the Federal High Court, Ibadan, on Thursday, postponed the trial of the Coordinator of the Federal Workers Forum (FWF), Andrew Emelize, until October 21.

Emelize, who has been at the forefront of agitation for the welfare of workers and payment of N35,000 wage arrears that have not been paid by the Federal Government, was charged by the State Service Department (DSS).

He will be charged with accusations of four counts of alleged statements of detrimental statements against the federal government, threats to protest in ASO Rock, and decreased DSS invitations.

Most postponed the indictment after the defendant dropped at the dock right before the indictment was read to him.

He temporarily resigned this case so that the defendant received medical attention.

However, when it seems that the defendant could not be revived, the judge postponed the case.

Maha says that Emelize must live to face the trial.

According to him, the trial was initially stopped for prosecution to meet the defendant’s medical needs.

“When I continued, I found that the medical needs were not yet considered.

“His health is very important. Let’s give him time and benefits of doubt,” said Maha before presenting this case.

The FWF coordinator was arrested by DSS on July 3 and then released with administrative guarantees on July 17 before his indictment on Thursday.
