The Rivers State High Court firmly refused to issue a government that ordered a single administrator who claimed to empty government buildings, to keep away from online reports that mistakenly connect such decisions with one of the judges.
The controversial report, which is circulating online online, claims that the Boma Diepriye judge from the Federal High Court has stated the appointment of a single administrator in the Rivers, Null, and Void State Government Building. ” However, the court has rejected the report as inaccurate and misleading.
In an official statement released on Thursday and signed by the Head of Registrar David Ihua-Maduyi, the court clarified that no such decision was made. Further statement corrects the notes, noting that the name “Boma Diepriye” is likely to refer to Hon. Judge Boma was covered, who was actually a judge of the Rivers of the State High Court, not the Federal High Court, as reported wrongly.
“Hon. Judge Boma was expanded at this time on Easter vacation, which began on April 14, 2025.
The court firmly stated that there were no judges of the State High Court who issued any orders about the subject matter reported online.

Explaining publication as a product of sensationalism and poor journalistic ethics, Ihua-haduyi expressed concern over the trend of increasing information that was not verified that was circulated by bloggers and online news platforms.
“It is regrettable that some bloggers and online news journalists have traded professionalism in the altar of the benefits of money coming from web traffic,” he said.
Judiciary urges members of public practitioners and the media to seek appropriate clarification from official sources before issuing reports involving court proceedings or court officers.
“This institution remains committed to transparency, but we ask the public and the media to conduct complete tests and avoid wrong information,” the statement concluded.
