The CPC block in APC reaffirms its loyalty to the party leadership, the administration of Tinubu
Abuja (basic reporter) while we approach the general elections of 2027, the blockade of the congress for progressive change (CPC) in all the progressives of the Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its loyalty to the leadership of the party and to total support for the administration of President Bola Ahmedmed Tinubu.
This was contained in a press declaration made available to basic journalists on Wednesday 16 April 2027 and signed by 23 members; Senator Umaru Tanko al-Makura, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, Obono-Obla and Osita Okechukwu among others.
According to the declaration, “we, the signed leaders and dedicated members of the former congress for progressive change (CPC), instrumental in the historical merger that gave birth to the All Progressives Congress (APC), emit this declaration to reaffirm our unshakable loyalty for our large party and express our strong solidarity with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.”
More mentioned, the recent misleading narratives that suggest the defection or discontent between the interested parties of the CPC are without foundation, malice and should be ignored. “We remain a vital part of the APC, fully engaged in its leadership and vision.”
“We categorically say that we have not left the APC nor do we intend to leave. The CPC block remains one of the basic pillars of the APC and we are resolved in our commitment to the party and its progressive ideals.
“As a Legacy party within the APC, we are proud of the sacrifices made to build a platform that promotes national unit, justice and development. We will not allow people to dismantle the party that we have helped to build through years of tireless dedication.
“Attempts to sow disunion within the party and the country do not reflect the will or position of authentic members of the CPC and are completely unacceptable.
“We fully approve the economic and governance reforms led by President Bola Tinubu. While these policies can present challenges, they are crucial to reconstruct our economy and guarantee a prosperous future for all Nigerians. We lift patience and collective support while their benefits take place.
“We recognize that some members may feel put aside, but these concerns are not unique for any blocks. We encourage people affected to seek compensation through constitutional channels consolidated within the party, rather than resorting to negative public agitation or hasty exits.
“At this fundamental moment in the democratic journey of Nigeria, all the members of the APC, especially those deeply rooted in the formation of the party, work together to preserve its inheritance and consolidate the democracy of Nigeria. The actions that threaten our unity and national stability must be avoided.
“We urge the leadership of the APC to increase involvement with members at all levels. The strengthening of internal communication will favor inclusion, will reduce tensions and improve support for party programs. The party unit must be continuously nourished to support past gains and guarantee a prosperous future
“Therefore we reaffirm our loyalty to the APC and our detention support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The CPC family remains a crucial pillar of the APC and will continue to play a responsible role in its growth and in the progress of Nigeria”, concluded the declaration.
