The guard shot dead; Couple, kidnapped daughter

Katsina’s police command confirmed that unidentified armed men killed a guard and kidnapped a couple with their daughter in the Filin Canada neighborhoods in Katsina Metropolis.
The command spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, revealed it to the journalists of Katsina Tuesday.
Aliyu said: “Today, August 26, around 3:00, some thugs with dangerous weapons attacked the residence of an Anas Ahmadu of Filin Canada Quarters, Katsina, have kidnapped him, his wife and daughter Jidda Anas.
“In addition, the thugs fired an Abdullahi Muhammad of the same address, a member of the local vigilante, and escaped the scene before the arrival of the police officers.”
He also said that at the receipt of the report, the division police officer “quickly rushed to the scene to restore normalcy in the area”.
Aliyu said that the investigations began in order to monitor and arrest the authors of the Dastardly act.
He also stated that the police commissioner, Bello Shehu, in the company of the area commander, DPPI inside the subway, as well as the officer of the anti-kidnapping charge command, visited the scene for an evaluation on the spot.
He said that Shehu then deployed staff and additional activities to guarantee a rapid rescue of the victims and arrest the authors.
Aliyu invited the public to always report suspicious and criminal activities to the nearest police station or use the police emergency lines for a quick response.
“We also ask anyone who has useful information to come forward and assist the current investigations.
“All the information provided will be processed with the utmost confidentiality,” he mentioned the CP for saying.
