The highlands government investigated the alleged livestock poisoning

The State Government of the highlands has begun an investigation of alleged cattle poisoning in the Tafi Gana community in the Bassa Regional Government in the state.

Commissioner of State for Information and Communication, Ny. Joyce Ramnap, revealed this in a statement on Thursday in JOS.

The commissioner said the move was to reduce tension and curb the current security threats in the bassa and surrounding areas.

He said: “Our attention has been focused on the accusations circulating on social media, regarding the alleged poisoning of 36 cows owned by one night Nuhu from the Tafi Gana Bassa community.

“While the government is very worried about this, it urges the community to remain calm and avoid speculation or narration which can then ignite tension and disturb peace in the area.
