The National Assembly extends the date of resumption of legislators to May 6,
Abuja (basic reporter) The management of the National Assembly has extended the Plenary recovery date of the senators and members of the Chamber of Representatives on 6 April 2025.
Federal legislators went to a break at the end of last month to allow their Muslim and Christian colleagues to join their components respectively to celebrate Sallah and Easter.
We remind you that their initial date of Plenaria recovery was May 29, 2025, but in a declaration signed by the employee of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana and made available to basic journalists on Monday, 2025, the extension was to allow legislators to participate in the ceremony of the days and to attend other commitments in their settings.
The declaration states: “I am in charge of informing the distinct senators, honorable members and the public general that the two houses of the National Assembly have extended the date for the resumption of plenary sessions from Tuesday 29 April 2025 to Tuesday 6 May 2025.
“This extension allows the distinct senator and honorable members to participate in the workers’ day ceremony and to attend other commitments in their electoral colleges.
“The distinct senators, honorable members and the public in general are invited to take note of the new recovery date.
“We apologize for any inconvenience that this can cause and appreciate your understanding,” says the declaration.
