The Nigerian Legion on Saturday graduated 220 new commissioners after completing Course 16 at the Suleja training camp, with the aim of strengthening community service and security support.
The passing out parade was confirmed in a statement to journalists in Abuja by the Legion’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Vet AA Soaga-Adetoro.
Addressing the graduates, National President Grace Morenike Henry urged discipline, integrity and professionalism. He warned of “zero tolerance for misconduct”, saying any act that brings the council into disrepute could lead to dismissal and prosecution.
Henry also warned the new commissioners against criminal activity and made clear that their paramilitary training “does not equate to military status”, underlining the Corps’ distinct role. He assured members of continued efforts to improve wellbeing and opportunities within the Legion.

Previously, the commander of the FCT Commissar Corps, Captain NH Bako, had praised the recent reforms under Henry’s leadership as “highly impactful for the growth and efficiency of the Corps”. He charged the graduates to apply the training and discipline they acquired, saying that such values are fundamental to their tasks.
The ceremony highlights the Legion’s drive for professionalism, discipline and service, Soaga-Adetoro added.
