In a video obtained since the time of the platform, the woman, whose identity remains not disclosed for safety reasons, was seen crying abundantly while narrating her ordeal.
He said he hid from the Libyan authorities who intensified raids on irregular migrants in some parts of the country.
“I am blocked here in Libya. They are arresting people right now as I speak. If they catch me where I hide, they will take me directly to prison,” he cried.
The shocked lady appealed to the Nigerian government, to humanitarian organizations and individuals of good will to intervene and facilitate her safe return to Nigeria.
His case reflects the difficult situation of thousands of Nigerians who have found themselves trapped in Libya in recent years, many of whom fall victims of trafficking in human beings, forced work or arbitrary possession by Libyan security forces.
Despite the multiple repatriation efforts previously undertaken by the International Organization for Migration (Iom) in collaboration with the Nigerian government, the dozens of migrants remain blocked, with some subjects with terrible living conditions.
The cry of help of the woman has once again highlighted the growing concerns about the well -being of the Nigerians abroad, in particular in the countries in conflict in which human rights violate migrants are rampant.
At the time of the press, the Nigerian authorities still had to officially respond to its reason.
