The nurse ended the strike after four days

The National Association of Nurses and Midwives Nigeria (NANNM) has suspended a four -day -old warning strike.

The nurse and midwife in the country began a seven -day warning attack on unliled demands on Wednesday.

They demand a review of the upper review of shift allowances, adjusting uniform allowances, separate salary structures for nurses, increasing core assignment allowances, and mass recruitment nurses, among others.

Association leaders met with the Federal Government Team to find eternal solutions for disputes on Friday.

Those who were at the meeting were officials from the Ministry of Health and Federal Social Welfare, the Office of the Head of Services, the Ministry of Manpower and Employment, the Federation General Accounting Firm, the National Salary and Wage Commission, and other stakeholders.

Assistant Secretary General of the Association, Chidi Aligwe, confirmed the news to journalists on Saturday in Abuja.

He said the strike was suspended at the end of the NANNM National Executive Council meeting which was held the previous day.

“The warning strike has been suspended. Nurses and midwives must immediately continue their work,” Aligwe said.
