Nigeria’s police forces started a national hunting at national level after one of its official vehicles disappeared from the general strength quarter in Abuja, arousing concerns about the violations of internal security.
The disappeared vehicle, a Toyota Landfalo Cruiser with NPF 5594 D recording number and the chassis number Jtelu71jx0b027126, was reported stolen on July 28, 2025, according to an internal wireless reminder released by the police commissioner (DFA command, Katsina) and issued by the Department of the Criminal (FCID).
The SUV, assigned to the Department of Operations at the Strength headquarters, Louis Edet House, was discovered missing after it was presumably removed from the official parking lot.
A police signal obtained by journalists confirmed the development, affirming:
“The vehicle attached to the Department of Operations, FHQ Abuja, was declared missing/stolen or removed from where it parked on 28/07/2025 by the FHQ parking lot, Louis Edet House, Abuja.
“Case is under investigation. Grateful disin -formations, area controls and divisions for a possible recovery.”
Following the report, all the area commands, division police officers and tactical formations throughout Nigeria have been ordered to remain on alert and to treat the matter as “very important”.
The security agencies were also educated to immediately report any leads that could help recover the vehicle.
