The president of the NSC ensures Frsc to strengthen the partnership for sports development

The president has echoed this cardinal goal while hosting Marshal Corp of the Frsc, Shehu Mohammed and his delegation during a work visit to his office.

“We believe in opening our doors and windows to see what we can do together in order to advance sports in this country. We also want to support sports for organizations to do more,” he underlined.

Mallam Shehu was struck by the performance of the Frsc handball team at national and continental level. With excitement, he said that the team was the brilliant light of this sport in the country.

He reminded the Marshal of the body of the agreement reached with the Frsc sports committee during a previous visit, on the need to establish a joint collaborative committee that will interface in order to promote a mutual relationship that will facilitate sports development.

According to Mallam Dikko, “we are proactive and therefore we have provided the financial commitment in our budget to support any team or clubs that qualified to represent Nigeria in any competition, especially if they won the National League. We have the vision to do it”.

“If we do not engage in sports activities, we cannot give what the Nigerians deserve like the safety of our roads and highways,” he observed.

As part of his visit, Marshal of Corp said that the main push of the collaboration is to seek advice and financial support where possible by the Commission. He ensured a strong partnership with NSC to advance sports in the country.

The high of the visit was the presentation of a plague to the president and the commitment of Marshal Corp to create a permanent Frsc unit at the complex of the stadium for efficient traffic and the control of the crowd during the games and events.
