The Adamawa State Police Command is investigating two separate episodes of manslaughter deriving from domestic violence in the areas of the local government of Madagali and Gombi.
In a declaration issued by the command spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, Wednesday, said that the first accident occurred in the Pallam district, Madagali.
According to the declaration, a preliminary investigation showed that a physical clash broke out between two co-wils, Rhoda Anthony, at 55, and Victoria Anthony, 36 years old, both married to an Anthony Pallam.
“During the altercation, Victoria’s son, Ijai Anthony, 16 years old, according to what reported, hit his stepmother, Rhoda Anthony, in the lead with a piece of wood, making it collapse, but after receiving the police report, the police reading.
He said the suspicion and his mother had been taken in protective custody while the investigations progressed.
The declaration added: “In another tragic accident occurred in the Fuck district, in the area of the local Government of Gombi.
“The command received a relationship of anguish according to which an Idi Buba attacked his biological father, Buba Jelli, stabbing him on the neck and back with a knife, following a domestic altering.
“The victim was immediately running to the Fuck Primary Health Center, where he was sadly died while receiving care.”
Nguroje confirmed that the suspicion was arrested on the scene and also the knife used in the attack had been recovered and would have been treated as an exhibition against suspicion.
The police commissioner, the state command of Adamawa, Cp Dankomo Morris, has condemned these acts of violence, in particular those involving family members.
He invited all residents to always exercise moderation, avoid taking the law in hand and seeking peaceful means to resolve conflicts.
He said that investigations were underway and that the suspicions would be accused of completing the investigations. (Punch)
