Tinubu The Governor’s Task for the Welfare of Citizens, Devt Roots

Tinubu Bola President on Thursday urged the state governor to prioritize the welfare of Nigerians by investing more in their future.

Tinubu made a call at the 1150th meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), which was held in the State DPR Council Room in Abuja.

The President also encouraged the Governor to allocate more resources for rural electrification, agricultural mechanization, eradication of poverty, and infrastructure development.

He stressed the need for the governor to do more to have a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians at the grassroots level.

Tinubu said: “I want to attract you: Let’s change the story of our people in rural areas. Economy is working. We are on the road to recovery, but we need to stimulate growth in rural areas.

“We know the situation in rural areas. Let’s collaborate and do what will be useful for people.”

He urged the governor to work with the federal government to encourage economic development in rural communities throughout the country.

“We have to embrace agricultural mechanization, fight insecurity, and increase school registration through school feeding,” added the President.

He also directed NEC to form a committee that focuses on increasing the implementation of inherited infrastructure projects, especially the Super Lagos-Calabar and Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway.
