The first lot of pilgrims intended by the state of Ogun arrived healthy and safe in Medina, in Saudi Arabia, for the exercise of Hajj of 2025.
The pilgrims landed at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz international airport, Medina, exactly at 12:45 pm on Monday, after leaving Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Sunday.
Dresses in uniform clothing of Ankara and visibly excited, the pilgrims were seen smiling while making their way through the airport protocols on arrival in the Holy City.
Speaking during the departure, the Amir Hajj, Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun, consultant of the Governor for Islamic affairs, the Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar and the executive secretary of the Belgrime Muslim Board of Ogun State for this year.
They urged the pilgrims to respect the rules established and behaved as worthy ambassadors of the state of Ogun and Nigeria during their spiritual journey.
Recall that the state government had previously organized a farewell ceremony on Saturday to offer pilgrims a successful and spiritually rewarding Hajj.
Pellegrini’s next lot should start in the next few days.
