9-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped to Death by Pharmacy Worker Treating Her for Malaria in Kano – TrendyNewsReporters

A chemist identified as Manniru Mai of Jaba in Fanisau, Unogo Local Government Area of ​​Kano State, has been accused of raping a 9-year-old girl, Rumaisa Sadiq, to ​​death.

It was learned that the incident occurred when the victim’s father took her to the pharmacy to treat her for malaria.

Kano State Commissioner for Women, Disabled and Children Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano, who confirmed the victim’s death in a statement, said justice would be done.

In a statement issued through his Director of Public Enlightenment, Aishatu Haruna, the Commissioner said that despite attempts to divert the case, the administration of Governor Abba Yusuf would continue to pursue the matter to serve as a deterrent to others.

“Despite attempts by some individuals to instil distractions in the reported case of fatal rape against Rumaisa Sadiq, a nine-year-old girl, the Commissioner insisted that there must be justice for the deceased victim and her family,” the statement read.
“The Kano State government, under the leadership of the justice-loving Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, will pursue the case to court to a final conclusion.
“It may be recalled, however, that Rumaisa was raped by the owner of a pharmacy where she had been taken by her father to be treated for malaria.
According to the founder of Hidayah Ahmad VVF Aid Foundation, Hajiya Nafisa Salisu Ahmad, who informed the Commissioner about the incident, the case is already in court and is raising concerns from several human rights organizations.
Hajiya Nafisa, who accompanied the Commissioner’s delegation to the home of the victim’s family, also thanked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Honourable Aisha Saji Rano for their constant commitment in the fight against injustice and inhumanity.
The grieving mother, who is yet to recover from the shock of the sad incident, thanked Governor Kabir Yusuf and Honourable Aisha Saji Rano for making efforts to comfort the family and reassure them of the injustice.
