The new track titled Never Lost A Battle is a beautiful fusion of contemporary gospel sounds, with a touch of soul and RnB that will have you singing right where you are.

About the song

This is a song of faith that reminds us that God is always with us and when we trust and believe in his power in the midst of a challenge (battle), he will deliver us because his love is sure, our faith is strong and in him we find our victories!

This song highlights the story of Paul and Silas who were imprisoned for spreading the news of JESUS. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God.

Suddenly a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. Then all the prison doors were flung open, and all the prisoners were loosed from their chains. Acts 16:25-26 .

About the artist

The MOBO star artist, originally born into a non-religious home, always felt that there was something unique about music that touches the heart. This feeling undoubtedly had a huge impact on her life as a teenager and the desire to sing continued when she came to the UK. After singing with bands and church choirs, it was only a few years ago that she succumbed to the incessant call of the music industry. It was at this point that the desire to become an inspirational artist with a message was born.

Her life is filled with stories that are a mix of tears and laughter that describe the challenges and victories she has gone through. With this, she manages to keep her head above water by singing at the top of her lungs. The songs she puts together to inspire her are contained in her debut album that has in many ways recorded testimonials from fans from all over the world and has received several nominations and won exceptional awards in the UK.

“The first inspiration comes when God spoke in song about doing His will to fly high above all troubled waters.” This is a revelation God brought to her about the desire for wings like a dove and to fly away from all struggles to a place of rest.

Desola’s eclectic musical taste, ranging from neo-soul to jazz, RnB to traditional gospel, is reflected in her songs, and her writing is touching and heartfelt. She has a natural ability to connect with the listener, ensuring that the message of hope and faith is not compromised, but presented in a creative and melodious way.

Desola has released two albums in the past: Rest and Intimacy and is currently working on her new album which will be released soon. Desola is a regular at the London African Music Festival, where she has performed with her bands at major music venues such as Hootananny, Brixton and Vortex Jaxx Café. She has shared the same stage with Erica Campbell of Mary Mary and Annastasia Baker at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

She has also had two top 3 tracks on the UK Christian Chart in 2015 and 2016, as well as being featured on the website Mobo.com. On stage, Desola is an award-winning musical artist. She has won Critics’ Choice at the Gospel Touch Music Awards, is a Praise Gospel Music Award winner and was nominated for Best Female Gospel Act at the BEFFTA Awards, among others.

As an artist, her desire is to touch as many lives as possible with her music and message of hope in desperate situations. She is a firm believer in God’s word as a devout Christian and plans to bring people together who are going through one struggle or another to pour their hearts into a new song that will get them back on their feet.
