Peter Okoye writes his twin brother, Paul amidst a new rift

Peter Okoye, one of the members of the reunited music group P Square, has written a letter to his twin brother, Paul aka Rudeboy amid the rift between them.

Paul in his interview with City FM presenter said there may be more problems brewing between him and his twin brother as he recalled an incident that happened earlier this year between the two.

He said: “This year something happened. I was invited by the Commission for Combating Economic and Financial Crimes regarding a petition addressed to me and my older brother.

“When I got there, I asked them what happened. They had already printed my (bank) account statement, and they started an investigation. However, one month ago, they called us and our older brother and declared us innocent.

“The only difference is our lifestyles. He took us back to 2007 bank statements for a $200,000 line of credit (that I had), even though we traced some of the money to a vehicle he purchased. After the truth came out that I was innocent, he still didn’t apologize.

“I’m not talking, because I want to bring anyone down. He accused me of selling our catalog; the same catalog that I wrote 99 percent of. For now, I just want to continue doing what I’m doing.”

Peter, who reacted to his brother’s remarks in an open letter posted on his Instagram page on Monday, said he was not in competition with his brother or anyone else.

The singer said she saw interviews given by Paul in which he discredited her efforts in the group they created and built together.

”In your last interview, you claimed that you wrote and sang 99% of all P Square songs and discredited me by saying that our song with TI ‘Ejeajo,’ which I wrote, was a failure. You even used the number of YouTube views to discredit me again.

”You never acknowledged other songs like: ‘Get Squared’, ‘Busy Body’, ‘Personally’, ‘Roll It’, ‘Tempation’, ‘Alingo’, ‘More Than A Friend’, ‘Shekini’, ‘Say Your Love’, ‘Gimme Dat’, ‘Senorita’, ‘Igbedu’ and several others. Are these songs considered failures?,” he wrote.

The singers’ final split comes more than two years after their festive reunion.
