Officers of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command have arrested an alleged armed robber, Michael Uke, who stole a Toyota Corolla at gunpoint along Kuje-Airport road.
“Officers of the FCT Police Command on August 17, 2024, at about 12:00 noon, in a quick response to a Toyota Corolla vehicle with REG NO: ABC 258 LD, allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint on May 2, 2024, along Kuje Airport Road, and the same vehicle was spotted,” the statement read.
“With the help of digital reconstruction intelligence, command officers traced the vehicle to a certain Ifego Guest Inn in Jabi, owned by a certain MICHEAL UKE.
“The suspect had replaced the vehicle’s license plate number with another one, which read REG NO: AGD 146 JP. During the search, one (1) POS, one (1) knife, glass dissolving chemicals, one (1) jungle army hat and the original license plate number of the vehicle were found in his possession.
“While the investigation is still ongoing, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of FCT residents.
