PSG abandon pursuit of Victor Osimhen

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have officially withdrawn from negotiations to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after failing to reach an agreement on the transfer fee.

Despite reaching a personal agreement with the Nigerian international, the French champions have opted to explore other options after Napoli refused to lower their asking price of €130m.

According to L’Equipe, PSG are now considering “not changing clubs” and could explore other options.

The French champions are looking to improve their forward squad, which includes Ousmane DembΓ©lΓ© and Randal Kolo-Muani.

The decision comes at a critical time for PSG, who are in urgent need of a striker following the departure of Kylian MbappΓ©.

PSG coach Luis Enrique will also have to deal with Goncalo Ramos’ injury, which is expected to keep the Portuguese forward out for up to three months.
