Seun Egbegbe recounts his experiences in prison, saying prison is not a good place to live

Yoruba filmmaker Seun Egbegbe recounts his experience in prison after he was found guilty of stealing nine iPhones from a shop located at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Seun Egbegbe, who recounted his experience in an interview with Biola Bayo, said he had 45 charges against him in court, but only one charge was used to convict him.

The socialite, who was once in a relationship with renowned Yoruba movie actress Toyin Abraham, said that when she arrived at the prison, she prayed to God that if he existed, he would come out alive because people die in prison every day.

Seun, who admitted to having done many dirty things during his life but never killing anyone, also stated that prison is not a good place because he thinks that no sane person should be there.

He said; ”I now have an NGO that focuses on helping inmates in various prisons and the impetus to establish it came when I saw how the Redeemed church provides welfare services to 3000 inmates every Sunday by giving them Jollof rice and a pack of water.

Seun notes that the iPhone case that landed him in prison was a complicated one and also reveals that his father is now old and prays that his parents will still be alive to eat the fruits of their labor.
