Barcelona 5-star destroys Villarreal, Lewandowski and Raphinha score twice

Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha both scored twice as Barcelona thrashed Villarreal 5-1 in a thrilling La Liga clash on Sunday.

Barcelona successfully beat Villarreal to maintain their 100% record in La Liga.

But Barca will rue defeat as goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen suffered a serious injury and had to be carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

The 32-year-old Germany international and Barcelona captain was injured when his right knee buckled as he landed to catch the ball towards the end of the first half.

Lewandowski scored twice and missed a penalty, Raphinha scored twice and Pablo Torre also netted once as Hansi Flick’s side made it six league wins from six games.

For Villarreal’s goal, Nicholas Pepe provided an assist for Ayoze Pérez in the 38th minute to keep the score 2-1 until halftime.
