In his second speech at the General Debate in New York, he said Syria had begun to regain “its place among nations and states” through the diplomatic bridges it has built – proving “to the whole world that the security of the East is woven into Damascus and cannot be built without it”.
Al-Sharaa said Syria had been “unified from north to south”, with weapons in the hands of non-state groups fully under the Government’s control, the rebuilding of security institutions, the lifting of sanctions, the launch of reconstruction and investment projects, and the transitional justice process – as well as efforts to determine the fate of the disappeared – well underway.
‘The destruction has stopped’
“In Syria’s journey through the conflict between good and evil, the war has lightened its burden, the bloodshed has stopped, and the destruction has stopped,” he said.
“Syria has begun its journey of recovery and revival, accelerating its pace, and is confident in its path.”
He said his country was waging an open war against cross-border criminal networks, including drug and human trafficking, and added that the consolidation of security and stability had resulted in “a reality where the walls of isolation are starting to crumble”.
“Recovery has returned to this wounded country, bringing with it the voluntary and dignified return of more than three and a half million displaced and displaced people, transforming Syria from a crisis between countries – into an opportunity for good where countries can unite,” he said.
‘Golan will remain Syrian’
Al-Sharaa said that Syrian national principles were taking further root “through the power of law and the will of the people,” and stressed that the Golan “will remain Syrian land, and all acts of annexation will be null and void under Syrian power.” Security Council 497” resolution.

Looking to the future
The Syrian president ended his speech by saying that his country’s protracted civil conflict “taught us that truth itself is strong, even when it is weakened, and that falsehood is weak, even when it exists”, and stressed that Syria continues to rebuild itself and restore its self-respect and dignity.
“Today, we stand at the 81st session to affirm the reality of progress and revival. And at the 82nd session, we will meet again to build together on the fruits of a strategic partnership: a partnership that has made Syria an international actor that creates prosperity, a regional model that leads to stability, and a heart that beats with life that opens the door to the future,” he said.
