Why I left the Kasimpasa match at halftime —Osimhen

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen reacts to Galatasaray’s disappointing draw against Kasimpasa and also allays fears of a serious injury.

The Nigeria international did not return for the second half of the match after scoring twice in the first half, with the club citing that he was injured.

The goal was the first for the Turkish giants, and they were 3-1 up at half-time but unfortunately they slipped and settled for a 3-3 draw in the home game.

“I feel a little uncomfortable. I think I should tell my coach. If I reduce the team, that would be bad.

“I don’t want the achievements of my other friends to decline. I told Mauro (Icardi) and the coach. That’s why I left the game.”

He added: “We weren’t happy as a team, we deserved the three points, football is like that sometimes.

“You can play the way you want and not win. I am happy to score two goals, we are all not happy because of the draw, we have to work hard and focus to win the next game.

“I am happy with my own performance but we will work harder and try to do better in the coming games.”

Even though they drew, Galatasaray remained at the top of the league standings.
