In an attempt to update the renewed hope initiative for the sports economy of Nigeria (Rhinse), Mallam Shehu DikkoPresident of the National Sports Commission (NSC), has emphasized the urgent need for stakeholders’ collaboration, strategies based on basic sports research and development to unlock the non -exploited sports potential of Nigeria.

Speaking on the 50th anniversary and the ninth call ceremony of the National Sports Institute (NIS), Mallam Dikko described the transforming role of sports in the promotion of national unity and boost socioeconomic growth. He stressed that with the restructuring of the Federal Ministry of Sports in the National Sports Commission, the Nigerian sports ecosystem is ready for an important restart, focusing not only on competitions but also on sustainable development.

Mallam Dikko stressed that the Rhinse program is designed to change Nigeria’s sports approach to be only driven by competition to become an added and development -centered value industry. This strategic pivot is aimed at:

Praiseing the National Sports Institute (NIS) for its strategic role in the production of world -class coaches, managers and administrators, Mallam Dikko pointed out that the institution remains essential for the success of Nigeria’s sports economy. He praised the Institute for its avant -garde facilities, which now places students in a solid position to compete worldwide.
Dikko also praised the special basic soccer coaching program, a collaboration effort between NIS and the Football Association of the State of Lagos, as a model for sports development initiatives.
