Development: the Supreme Court blocks the funds of the rivers, recognizes the AMAEWHULE assembly

On Friday, the Supreme Court made a declaration by stopping the central bank of Nigeria, CBN, from issuing funds to the state government of the rivers until the Chamber of the Assembly of the rivers was adequately constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of 1999.

The Court Apex has also affirmed the members of the rivers led by Martins Amawhule, members of the assembly as valid members of the Chamber.
