The Los Angeles Lakers will be without LeBron James for at least one or two weeks after the superstar striker suffered a tension in the left groin, the sources told Shams Charania de ESPN on Sunday.
James will undergo an additional evaluation, but the Lakers are expected to be mistaken on the side of caution, since they remain in a solid position, maintaining the third sown at the West Conference.
The lesion occurred in the fourth quarter of defeat 114-105 of the Lakers against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, forcing the 40-year-old player to leave the game with 6:44 remaining.
Despite the reverse, he minimized concerns, declaring that he would take things “day by day.”
“I’ve been there before, and I know what kind of injury you are dealing with,” said James, referring to the breakage of the groin that kept him out for 17 games in the 2018-19 season.
