NSCDC arrested two human traders in Bauchi

The Nigerian Civil and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two people because of the alleged human trafficking in the State of Bauchi.

NSCDC Commander in that state, Mr. Olyerinde, revealed this at a press conference on Saturday at Bauchi.

He said: “Operative NSCDC intercepted the Black Toyota Hilux (TRD V6) 2020 model with the chassis number Mrofa3cdol3850349 on March 25.

“The vehicle was stolen from the Rantiya area near the middle school in JOS, the highlands, and owned by Mr. Emmanuel Agbola, a resident of Rantiya.

“After receiving a report at the State Command Headquarters, personnel quickly activated the operation to stop-and-search and intensify patrols along the Bauchi-Jos Expressway.”

“The criminals, feel the danger, leave the vehicle and run away.

“Vehicles that have recovered since then have been handed over to the legitimate owner.

“On March 21, around 10:00 hours, one Faith Gabriel, 19, a resident of Yalwan Kagadama/Unguwan Kusu, reported cases of human trafficking to the State Command Headquarters of Bauchi NSCDC.

“He accused a 33 -year -old woman, Yalwan Kagadama, captivated the victim for one Mary Simon, 35, with the reason to secure work for four girls, aged 19 to 20 years.

“The girls were brought to Ibadan on March 10, allegedly for restaurant work.

“However, at the time of arrival, they were submitted at a secret hotel, the next morning, hotel security guards told them that they were traded for commercial sex work on the trip to Ivory Coast.

“Fear of their lives, they fled from the hotel and returned to Bauchi,” he said.

“The suspects claimed to carry the victims to the location where they managed to escape.”
