Dikko to declare the Niger Delta Sports Festival Open as NSC Backs Initiative – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has launched its full support behind the Niger Delta Sports Festival (NDSF), recognizing the event as a significant platform to discover and feed emerging sports talents.

The president of the NSC, Shehu Dikko, will officially declare the opening of the Festival, underlining the Commission’s commitment to promote basic sports development in each Nigeria region.

Speaking in front of the festival, Bukola Olopade, general manager of the NSC, praised the initiative and invited more states to adopt similar programs to expand the pool of talents of Nigeria.

“The Niger Delta Sports Festival represents a vital platform for discovering and nourishing raw talents,” said Olopade.

“We encourage more to adopt similar initiatives to expand the pool of talents and strengthen the sports future of Nigeria”.

In a great impulse for the event, the Ndsf revealed Banca Premiumtrust as official bank of the Festival on Friday.

The event should take place from 1 to 8 April in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, bringing together athletes from all over the region to compete in various sports disciplines.

NSDF aims to show grass talents, encourage regional unit and promote youth commitment in sports.
