Nuj Felicita the Muslim faithful on Eid-El-Fitr
Abuja (basic reporter) The Union of Journalists of Nigeria (Nuj), Council FCT, has prolonged warm congratulations to Muslim journalists and the entire Muslim community in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-El-Fitr.
In a message of goodwill issued by the Prime Minister, Grace Ike, Nuj praised the faithful Muslims for their dedication, discipline and spiritual commitment during the sacred month of Ramadan.
He stressed that the period of fasting and reflection acts as a reminder of the values of love, sacrifice and unity that should continue to guide social interactions.
“While we mark the completion of Ramadan successfully, we are reminded of the virtues of patience, generosity and compassion. These values should continue to inspire our professional conduct as journalists and our responsibilities as citizens of a great nation,” he said.
He also urged the Nigerians to embrace the spirit of EID by promoting peace, understanding and the unwavering commitment to truth and justice. In his observations, he noticed that journalists, as a consciousness of society, have a duty to support integrity, encourage national unity and contribute significantly to the progress of Nigeria.
Nuj, I recommend FCT, expressed optimism that the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr would have brought renewed hopes, blessings and prosperity to everyone, encouraging citizens to observe the celebrations with love, harmony and a renewed sense of purpose.
The Council extends his best wishes to all Muslim faithful and prays for peace, progress and unity continues in the country.
